Assessment Portfolio

Have a look at my projects below to get an idea of what I’ve created for students to work on, how I implement my skills, and my approach from concept to execution. Reach out if you’d like to learn more about a specific project.

Argumentative Essay Summative Assessment

This assessment was used for my edTPA project, which consisted of five consecutive days of lessons. First, students analyzed and annotated various poems and a scholarly article for important quotes relating to education. Then, students learned how to integrate quotes to support their argument. Finally, students worked on their first draft of an argumentative essay using an essay outline. At the end of the five day lesson segment, students were asked to revise their essays using my comments on their rubric.

Critical Lenses Assignment

In this assignment, students learned about a few different critical lenses to analyze a piece of work with. Students had the choice to analyze a movie of their choice from a list given. For this assignment, students were asked to analyze two shows/movies through two different lenses.

Fahrenheit 451 End of Unit Assessment

For this project, students were given a choice board in which they are asked to choose 3 out of the 9 boxes to respond to. Students had the choice to work in pairs or individually. This assessment was used at the end of our "Protest Literature" unit.
